The Residential Learning Community at Oregon State University
The men of Sigma Phi Epsilon are proud to announce the achievement of RLC status. The RLC (or Residential Learning Community) is a program set forth by SigEp Nationals. What this means is that Oregon Alpha has been recognized as harboring a great learning community for the active members. SigEp has had great success with the RLC program, of which chapters average 84 men, retain 83 percent of those men for four years, and earn a 3.25 GPA. With Oregon Alpha already having higher numbers then these averages we are very excited to see what we can accomplish now.

9/30/06 Oregon Alpha jumps 27 new members!
The end to summer recruitment is here! The members of Oregon Alpha had 27 new members join this fall, thanks to a great recruitment effort from Vice President Kyle Day. We wish the brothers the best of luck in this upcoming year.

Our first ever Red Carpet Film Festival was a huge success! Held at the LaSells Stewart Center, our fraternity along with the Kappa Alpha Theta sorority helped raise money for our YouthAids and the Make-A-Wish Foundation, our respective philanthropies. At the event, we had 17 student made videos that were shown to over 700 people. After the videos were shown we had the audience vote on their favorites, and then we awarded the winning group a brand new Mac Mini. Thanks to everyone who helped make videos and everyone who showed up to help support a great cause!
